Unfortunately the job does not pay (money), but social capital is almost guaranteed (only valid with those that are impressed by an affiliation with SocialMixLA). SocialMixLA is willing to provide letters of recommendation after six months of service.

 

Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, after 12 months of service, the Social Media Intern may have the opportunity to become a paid employee for SocialMixLA.

This is an unpaid internship, but in exchange for you hard work and dedication, we can offer you real work experience, professional skill building, networking opportunities, field experience, event planning skills training, and personal growth.

 

Desired Skills, Requirements, etc:

• An outgoing & energetic personality is essential

• Must be able to write well (this is absolutely crucial)

• Knowledgeable of local venues & the Los Angeles/Hollywood “scene” is helpful

• Must have an understanding of social media platforms and have active profiles

• Ability to network & maintain relationships

• Basic knowledge Microsoft Office, Word, and Google Docs is a plus

• 21+ years of age is preferred, but not required

• A desire to get hands-on experience with marketing and events

• Reliable Transportation (public or private)

• 6 month unpaid commitment with potential for part time position working with SocialMixLA.

• 10 hours a week. Preference given to daytime availability.

• High speed internet. (This is a remote position. We’ll be meeting via video conferencing!)
